John Hartford Photos

This versatile and funny musician died in 2001, and he is sorely missed. Best known for his song, "Gentle on My Mind," he was also an accomplished fiddle and banjo player. This series of photos was taken at the Desert Oasis Bluegrass Festival a few years ago in Fallon, Nevada (east of Carson City). Viewed through the camera lens, he was a man of great compassion and humor.
