Betty Sederquist maintains a file of approximately 60,000 marketable Kodachrome, Elitechrome and Fujichrome Sensia and Velvia transparencies including files of approximately 1,000 rolls of b&w film and 22,000 high-end digital images. Most images are 35mm format, with some 6x7 format images. She uses a Nikon LS-4000 scanner to scan the 35mm images and an Epson V750 Pro for her medium-format work. Now included in the digital arsenal are Fuji S3 and D200/D300 digital SLR cameras, which have been used for thousands of high-end digital images.

She has been publishing her images since 1972 in numerous regional and national magazines. Credits include National Geographic books, Alaska, Backpacker, Sunset, Outside, Highlights for Children, Harcourt Brace and McGraw Hill textbooks, Serrano, Sunset, Steppin' Out, and Sacramento magazine. Primary geographical areas covered include Northern California (especially the California Gold Country, Mono Lake and the ghost town of Bodie), British Columbia, Yukon Territory and Alaska. Emphasis is on travel destinations and Gold Rush re-enactments.

RECENT images! Betty led her tenth photography trip to Southeast Alaska in summer of 2007 and came back with yet more fantastic whale and eagle images, adding to the existing file of Petersburg, intertidal life, medium format temperate rainforest close-ups, Steller sea lions, bald eagle close-ups, Sitka totem poles and fishing brown bears. Humpback whales, breaching orca whales and spectacular scenics are among the recent offerings.

This summer she is spending most of the month of July in Alaska photographing similar subjects.

She also spent almost a week in Denali, with images of the mountain, tourism, wrestling grizzly bears and more. Then she was off to the little-known Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. Largest national park in the U.S., the park is best known for the spectacular old copper mining town, Kennicott. But this is a land of seemingly endless huge glaciers and high peaks.

In April, 2000, she traveled to London and Paris, returning with over 500 images of these two cities. In May and June of 2008 she visited Oxford, England, Paris, France, and Burgundy (Bourgignone), capturing nearly 2,000 images with her Nikon D300 high end digital camera. In December 2003 she helped lead a photo tour to Ecuador, spending a week in the Amazon and more than a week in the Galapagos. In between all this she has added many hundreds of Gold Rush reenactment photos to her collection.
